Food hygiene rating pending

Small-batch gin made in Barton Saint David, with nine botanicals and apples from Somerset's historic orchards among them. Distilling in limited quantities means the flavour shifts slightly from one run to the next, which is why every bottle carries its own hand written batch number on the label. That is a fussy way to work and an honest one, and it tells you where the priorities lie here.

The Navy Strength sits at 57% ABV, or 100 UK proof, and is unapologetic about needing a mixer. Bottles arrive wax sealed, boxed and cushioned in an air filled pouch. Cocktail recipes on file include a pink gin and tonic built on Spirit of Glastonbury with orange peel, and their own creation, The Glastonbury, with root ginger, apple juice, mint and apple. Their advice: plenty of ice first, and a copa glass if you have one.
