The little building on Charlestown Road was once a weighbridge, used for weighing china clay, metals and whatever else Cornwall had to send out into the world. A family spotted it, fell for it, and turned it into a creamery in the historical port famed for its tall ships. The link between the name and the place is not marketing; it is simply where they ended up.

Dairy ice creams, dairy free real fruit sorbets and frozen yogurts, all handmade from scratch with ingredients picked for quality and sourced locally where they can be. The approach looks back to old fashioned parlour classics and traditional toppings, then pushes outwards into newer combinations. Their Cornish Vanilla Gold took a Taste of the West gold in 2016. Hotels, restaurants and cafes can enquire about stocking it, though wholesale is currently Cornwall only.
