Penbugle Organic Farm

The Ridout family left Shaftesbury in Dorset and a long farming history behind them in 2005, taking on 260 acres of Duchy of Cornwall land in the rolling hills between Liskeard and Looe. It is fully organic, and worked as such: the Cornshire herd of Red Ruby Devon cattle calving each spring, native breed sheep lambing outside in March and April, and a small herd of rare breed Dales ponies with foals for good measure.

What comes off the farm is grass fed organic beef, grass fed lamb, and organic free range eggs from six flocks of 2,000 laying hens housed in mobile units. Breeding stock is sold direct as well as to other markets. Everything is fully certified, and they are open to conversations with anyone wanting to stock it. There are also eight glamping pods on site, dog friendly, each with a firepit and private facilities.
