Food hygiene rating pending
Farming the same corner of Devon since 1948, this family operation runs 250 pedigree Jersey and Guernsey cows across 280 acres just outside Plymouth. That matters more than it sounds: plenty of dairies buy in their milk, while here the herd is on site, outside for 22 hours a day through summer and grazing grass that Devon's mild climate keeps green for most of the year. The farm is carbon neutral, with eco-friendly initiatives running alongside the dairy.
The ice cream is the headline act, running to 40 flavours, though the multi award winning clotted cream has its own devoted following. There is a library of recipes on the website too, sweet and savoury, some from the Langage team and some sent in by customers. You will find the products in small cafes and farm shops across the region, but the online shop is open around the clock if you would rather have clotted cream posted to someone.
