T H Ede has been making vinegar at the Vinegar Works on Cremyll Street in Stonehouse since at least the 1920s, which makes it one of Plymouth's oldest food producers still at the bench. Customers measure their loyalty in decades - fifty years of buying the same pickled onions is not unusual.

Vinegar and pickles are the trade, with the famous onions pickled by a cousin in Exeter and sold from Cremyll Street. Ring before visiting - this is a works, not a shop with browsing hours.
