Ice Cream

Exempt from food hygiene rating

Plympton is the base for an ice cream operation that has spread a good deal further than Devon, turning up in kiosks and visitor attractions well beyond the county line. The making is done here, with real dairy at the centre of it, and the awards have followed. What sets it apart is the breadth of the range and the fact that the trade side is treated as seriously as the product itself.

Traditional dairy ice cream sits alongside sorbets, plant-based flavours and, for the four-legged contingent, doggy ice cream. It is made to scoop straight from the freezer without a fight, which matters more than it sounds. Businesses get freezer and POS design, account managers who actually pick up the phone, and bespoke flavours on request - Hertfordshire Zoo got a Tiger one. Worth an enquiry if you are stocking for a busy summer site.
