Granola is not usually the thing a place hangs its name on, but this one does. Set right as you come into Salcombe, that seaside fishing village on the estuary, it is a family run Granola House started by Julia and her daughter. Small operations like this live or die on whether the people behind the counter actually care about the product. Here, as they put it, passion for quality is in the blood.
The focus is granola, made by a family who clearly take it seriously rather than treating it as a sideline. It is an easy first stop on the way into town, before the hill down to the water and the crowds that come with it. Worth calling ahead or checking their social pages for what is available on the day.
