Crab Shed Salcombe

Perched on the waterside at The Fish Quay on Gould Road, this is about as short a journey as seafood gets: local day boats land crab on the quayside, and it is cooked and hand-picked by the team right there. The view over Salcombe harbour is the obvious draw, but the stylish yet relaxed room and the Best Restaurant win at Food Drink Devon 2025/6 suggest rather more than a pretty outlook.

The speciality is 100% hand-picked local crab meat, alongside the finest fish and shellfish from the South West. Wines are ethically sourced Sea Change bottles, minimally packaged and plastic-free, with every sale funding ocean conservation - a fitting choice on a working fish quay. Salcombe Suppers are also available. Lunch runs 12 to 2:30 and dinner 6 to 8:30 daily, and pre-booking is recommended rather than optional.
