Berry Head Nature Reserve gives you Napoleonic forts, rare wildlife and panoramic views across the South Devon coastline, and at the end of a short walk from the car park sits this award-winning cafe. It is a spot that could coast on the setting alone and pointedly does not, sourcing locally and taking a clear-eyed, optimistic view of the environmental pressures facing this stretch of coast.
Open daily from 9am, with breakfast until 11:30am and lunch from noon to 3pm, or 3:30pm in the school holidays. Traditional cafe favourites sit alongside seasonal, local and more adventurous specials, and drinks, cakes, ice creams and Devonshire cream teas run through to closing at 4pm, or 5pm from July 18th to September 5th. Coeliac, vegan and other dietary needs are routine here, so say so when you order. Parking is pay and display via coins or RingGo code 15884.
