Artisan Pizzeria

A converted horse box does the work here, hauling a wood fired oven around the villages of the South Hams on a set rota of regular spots, Dartmouth and Blackawton among them. Based in the Dartmouth area, they build their pizzas on produce sourced from businesses close by, which is easier said than done when your kitchen has wheels and a fixed slot to keep.

The menu shifts, so the day's offering goes up on Instagram and Facebook, along with any changes to locations. Gluten free bases can be arranged if you ask in advance, vegan pizzas are available, and there are garlic pizza breads worth enquiring about. They also cater privately, from weddings and birthdays to corporate events. Check the feed before you set off, then call ahead if you need a base swapped.
