Sloe Bakery

Gabby and Elise became bakers in May 2024, and the microbakery they run out of Exeter has since grown limbs: a supper club in Heavitree under the Sloe Suppers name, a collaboration with Konn Coffee, a wedding cake, and deliveries pedalled across town by bike to Magdalen Road Cheese. Two friends, a lot of range, and a plain-spoken sense of humour about the whole thing that makes them easy to root for.

The baking leans seasonal and slightly unexpected: a Devon split with matcha cheesecake, raspberry jam and pistachio cream; pumpkin pie built on a spiced biscuit base with pumpkin and miso ganache, salted pecan caramel and a mountain of unsweetened cream.
