Crankhouse Coffee Roastery

Food hygiene rating pending
Crankhouse is a speciality micro-roaster on the edge of Exeter working to a simple brief: buying interesting coffees, roasting them well, and giving them the voice they deserve. It is now in its fourth home since it began, which is the sort of growth that tends to happen quietly.
The list rotates constantly - small quantities of new and fresh crop coffees rather than a fixed range - running to things like Wilton Benitez's anaerobic Geisha, a Burundi Bumba Hill natural and a Mountain Water decaf, alongside a big but beautiful Brazil. They sell retail and wholesale, stock espresso and brewing equipment, run brewing and barista classes both on and off site, and are refreshingly open about how their pricing works.
