Richard trained and qualified in England, France and Germany, worked in Michelin restaurants and picked up multiple rosettes along the way, with a customer list that runs from King Charles and the Prime Minister of France to George Ezra, a Red Bull F1 manager and, he is careful to note, his Mum. Suzy is a qualified chef too, with 25 years behind her, much of it in the same kitchen. She now runs front of house because she likes talking to people.

The Sidmouth-based operation caters weddings, corporate events, private parties from intimate to large, and holiday entertaining, with menus built around produce from local farmers and fishermen. Everything is written to order rather than picked off a fixed list, and vegan, gluten-free and other specific requirements are handled as part of that conversation rather than as an afterthought.
