Bastion Forge

Bastion Forge is one smith, a workshop outside Ottery St Mary, and a lot of steel. Every blade is forged, ground, heat treated and customised by hand, and he puts his name to each one that leaves the workshop - so commissions begin with a conversation about steel and handle composition and carry on until the design is right.

Once a project starts you get updates at every stage, with room to change your mind as the blade takes shape. Kitchen and chef's knives are the mainstay, though swords are fair game, and he runs one and two-day courses where you make your own and walk away with whatever you finish. Custom promotional pieces for businesses are an option too.
