North Perrott Fruit Farm

Farm shop

Food hygiene rating: 5 out of 5

Jonathan and Anwen are the third generation to tend these orchards near Crewkerne, and the farm shop they run was one of the first in the area. Fifty years on, it has kept changing to stay useful to the village: farm shop, coffee shop, plant centre and village store under one roof, with workshops on site let to seven small local businesses and craftsmen, and solar panels generating 0.85MWh.

Dessert apples and pears come off the orchards, there is a small cider orchard, and vegetables are grown for the shop. The pressing happens on the farm, producing over thirty named varieties of juice sold here and across South West farm shops, and bottles can be personalised for weddings. The coffee shop does home baking. Juice can be ordered online if you are too far to visit, and note they are closed on Sunday.
