Jurassic Ice Cream

Run by a family from a base at Ilton, just outside Ilminster, this is ice cream made slowly and to order rather than churned out in batches and left to sit. No preservatives, no artificial dyes, no additives - just West Country ingredients from suppliers chosen because they take the same view. Every flavour gets tested and tasted at the family table before it goes anywhere near a menu, which tells you most of what you need to know.

The lollies are where the imagination shows: toffee ice cream in chocolate with a hazelnut crumb, creamy coconut coated and dusted with toasted coconut, white chocolate under dark with a white chocolate crumb, and a pistachio-covered Dubai chocolate version, all in three packs. There is vegan and organic too, plus a banana and strawberry tub for dogs.
