Moo Free

Founded in 2010 by husband and wife team Mike and Andrea Jessop, this Holsworthy manufacturer set out to make dairy free chocolate that people would choose on taste rather than tolerate on principle. It remains family-owned, and the awards have piled up since. The ethics are not an afterthought either: cocoa is Rainforest Alliance sourced and the packaging is made from recycled plastic, with nothing single-use in the mix.

Everything is vegan and free from dairy, across chocolate bars, bags of chocolates and the odd ethical game. Moofreesas come as a 35g bag at £4.80 or in 80g large bars, two for £5.98, the same price as the cinder toffee bars. Mini Moo 20g bars, in milk chocolate or Bunnycomb, are £5.40.
