Max and Mike’s Street Food

The jolly green van belongs to Chef Max Borchardt, the cooking brain behind a family-run operation working out of mid Devon and touring towns, villages and events across the county. The pitch is street food from all corners of the world, which in practice means the cuisine changes with the booking rather than sticking to one flag. Meat comes from close by, with deliveries from McKelly in Crediton and Dartmoor topside among the raw material.

Expect range: a Spanish night of fried chicken burger with smoked garlic aioli and chorizo alongside pork meatballs, pop-up Sunday lunches from the kitchen at The Five Bells at Clyst Hydon, and desserts like caramelised white chocolate parfait with pistachio, raspberry, creme fraiche and basil.
