Ten years in, the brasserie at Witheridge has built its name on two things: honest, flavour-packed cooking and service that actually pays attention. Local sourcing isn't a slogan here but a working method, with ingredients drawn from trusted Devon producers and membership of both Taste of the West and Food Drink Devon to back it up. Brasserie-style food, warm room, no ceremony. One practical quirk worth knowing: you choose your dishes ahead of your visit, so you arrive, order a cocktail or a glass of something good, and let the evening take its own shape. Alongside the restaurant runs a private chef and events arm covering celebrations, retreats, corporate dinners, gala evenings and boutique weddings, with bespoke menus built around your tastes and dietary needs.
