Combe Farm Shop

Just outside Honiton, on the edge of Gittisham, this is a family run operation with a farm shop, butchery and bakery under one roof. It sits within a wider working estate whose interests run to forestry, farming and property, which explains the guiding line they hold themselves to: leave something better than we found. Not a slogan bolted on afterwards, more a description of how the land is worked.

Alongside the shop, butchery and bakery, the estate sells firewood: barn seasoned hardwood logs, currently back in stock, plus their own sustainable kindling. Deliveries are booked by phone, and they are straight with customers about timing, holding back processed logs that have not been in store long enough to be ready. If you want logs for the season ahead, call to book a delivery slot rather than turning up hopeful.
