The White Hart

PubPool Table

Food hygiene rating: awaiting inspection

The White Hart is a community pub on East Street in the middle of Newton Abbot, run under the Unity Social Pub Co banner and built around sport, karaoke and value drinks rather than a food-led menu. It has pool tables and dart boards for regular use and screens sport most weekends, and it markets itself as Newton Abbot's official karaoke bar, with lively sing-along nights that get singled out in reviews.

The kitchen still turns out a well-regarded Sunday roast, roast chicken dinners in particular get a mention from regulars, alongside standard pub food through the week. It keeps long hours - midday until midnight Monday to Thursday and Sunday, and until 1am Friday and Saturday - which fits its role as a late-weekend destination as much as an afternoon local. It is a straightforward, good-value pub aimed at Newton Abbot's own residents rather than passing tourist trade.
