The Sunset Society

The Sunset Society is a cafe by day and a live music bar and pizza joint by night, on Old Tiverton Road, opened by Howard Parker on the back of his other place, Pura Vida. The look is retro and surfy, with art on the walls and several separate rooms, which makes it unusually easy to find a quiet corner.

Breakfast and brunch run from French toast to a full English, and the coffee gets singled out as often as the food. Later in the week it turns into somewhere else entirely, with pizza and live music on Thursday and Friday evenings. Open from 8.30am most days, later Thursday and Friday.
