Salcombe Suppers

Seafood

Food hygiene rating: 5 out of 5

Lockdown left a family-run seafood restaurant in Salcombe with a load of fresh fish and nobody to feed it to, so they froze it. What began as salvage became the thing itself: restaurant recipes from the award-winning Crab Shed, portioned and chilled hard at the point the seafood is at its freshest. The family have long called this stretch of Devon home, and the whole enterprise runs on that same fishing-town supply line.

The Suppers are frozen seafood meals made to the same standards as the restaurant plates, sustainably sourced and frozen at peak freshness so the nutrients and flavour hold until you want them. They are not cheap, and customers say so plainly, then order more. Click and collect is from Crab Shed Salcombe, so build it into a trip rather than a special errand, and take a cool bag.
