Three Fore Street has been feeding Lostwithiel for years, most famously as the Trewithen Restaurant, and the 400 year old townhouse didn't stay dark for long. Jordan started there as an apprentice in 2009, became head chef in 2016, and now runs the place as his own with his wife Kerris front of house. That continuity shows: same address, familiar faces, a new name and an award already to its credit.
Cooking is modern and relaxed, built on Cornish seasonal produce and a supplier list they're happy to name. Ruby Red beef, handmade sausages and smoked bacon from James Kittow at Kilhallon Farm and MC Kelly; fish from British waters via Celtic Fish & Game and Harvester Seafood; Trewithen Dairy milk, butter and cream from the Glynn Valley, churned into their own ice cream. Bread, chutneys, pastry and biscuits are made on site. The dining room seats 14 across two tables, or 10 to 11 on one, with bespoke menus for private bookings, so ask when you reserve.
