Teacup Tearoom

Dog FriendlyCafe

Food hygiene rating: 5 out of 5

Cream teas are easy to do badly and surprisingly hard to do properly, which is what makes this one worth the trip. The sourcing is deliberate: products used in the tearoom and in the boxed sets are Cornish wherever possible. The Mevagissey tearoom took Gold for Best Cafe/Tearoom in the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2025/26, with further recognition at the Cornwall and South West England Tourism Awards. Dogs are welcome throughout.

Homemade cream tea sets start at £7.75, with scones plain or fruit, clotted cream and a choice of local preserves, plus homemade cakes from £3.00. Gluten free, dairy free, nut free and vegan options are covered, and non-dairy milk in your tea or coffee costs nothing extra. Cream tea sets are also posted anywhere in the UK from £25, ordered by email. Open daily from 9.30am, last entry 4pm, walk-ins only, so arrive prepared to wait at peak times.
