Hugo's Breakfast

Food hygiene rating pending
It began at Hugo Woolley's award winning bed and breakfast-hotel in Cornwall, where guests kept asking to take the muesli home. Hugo started making up parcels, the parcels proved popular enough to become a business, and the operation now runs out of Liskeard supplying cereals across the country. The premise has stayed the same throughout: make breakfast for taste first, use Cornish and British ingredients where possible, and let the health benefits follow on their own.
The granolas are slowly roasted for lasting crunch, the Cornish version coated in honey, Grade A maple syrup and golden syrup and finished with orange zest. Mueslis run from the nut-free Summer blend with freeze-dried fruits to a Bircher with roasted nuts and a hint of vanilla. Taste of the West Gold has gone to four of them. There are also six loose leaf teas blended and bagged in Cornwall, and a bean-to-bar hot chocolate from organic Peruvian cacao nibs. Soak the Bircher overnight for the best of it.
