Polly's Little Greek Kitchen started life as a food truck, out and about across South Devon since 2015, before its founder George opened a permanent spot at 2 Market Street in central Exeter in 2024. George spent fifteen years working on the Greek islands before coming home, and rather than just moving back he decided to bring the food with him - the name comes from a Greek phrase meaning very tasty. The kitchen only opens for lunch, Thursday to Saturday, 10am to 3pm.

The menu sticks to Greek staples done properly: doner kebabs, souvlakia and meze plates come up often in reviews, alongside vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free options. The food is pitched deliberately light rather than heavy - the idea is a holiday lunch you can walk off, not a meal that leaves you needing a nap - and the food truck side of the business still caters festivals and private events across the county. With a perfect five-star rating from getting on for ninety Google reviews, it has built a loyal following on a genuinely small menu rather than trying to cover every base.
