Myca's is a family-run seafood and grill restaurant on Fore Street in Sidmouth, built around what's landed locally: Cornish mussels, Devon crab, scallops, prawns and soft shell crab, plus a daily fish selection the chef changes depending on what's come in. The kitchen doesn't stop at seafood - ribeye steak and lamb rump cover the grill side, and there are tacos, a seafood linguine and a crab and prawn linguini for anyone splitting the difference between the two.
Breakfast runs to a full English, eggs Benedict, smoked kippers and pancakes, so it works as an early stop as much as a dinner destination, and there's a children's menu and a takeaway option alongside the a la carte room. Reviewers rate it among the best restaurants in Sidmouth - 4.7 out of 5 on Tripadvisor, ranked in the town's top five - and describe it as a family gathering spot rather than a formal dining room. It gets busy at peak times, and booking ahead is worth doing rather than turning up on spec.
