Blinis Cafe Bar

CafeBarDesserts

Food hygiene rating: awaiting inspection

Blinis Cafe Bar operates from inside the Royal York and Faulkner Hotel on Fore Street, just a short walk from Sidmouth's Esplanade, with a contemporary fit-out that sets it apart from the more traditional cafes along the seafront. Coffee, homemade cakes and light bites run through the day, with daily lunch specials, salads and sandwiches at midday.

There's a proper drinks list too - wines, beers and spirits alongside the coffee - which makes it as workable for an evening drink as a daytime coffee stop. It's open six days a week and reviewers consistently rate the service as good and the room as relaxing rather than rushed. Being attached to a hotel gives it a slightly more polished feel than an independent cafe on the same street, without losing the casual side of a cafe-bar, and the hotel setting means it's a reliable option even on a quiet off-season day.
