Malcolm and Angela Miller started this farm shop over forty years ago at Kilmington Cross, and it's still a family operation - son James runs the farming side, daughter-in-law Olivia manages the shop, and Malcolm still drives to France to bring back specialty produce, which he'll happily talk about in fluent French if you ask. Some of the veg comes off their own land; the rest is filled in from other local growers.
The shelves run to Lyme Bay fresh fish, beef, pork and lamb from local farms, local milk and cream, cider, cheese, bread and pastries, plus teas, coffees and juices, with home and garden odds and ends, compost and barbecue charcoal alongside the food. A fresh fish shack runs most days, and The Teapot Café - a small timber nook attached to the shop - serves homemade cakes and light, seasonal dishes for anyone stopping to eat rather than just stock up.
