Istanbul is on Sidwell Street, a stone's throw from the high street, and is Exeter's only seated restaurant serving exclusively authentic Turkish cuisine - no fusion, no shortcuts, traditional flavours done right. The welcome is a good part of the appeal; the team look after you from the door onwards.

Colourful Turkish mezes and generous sharing platters are the way to eat here, with the mixed grill for anyone arriving properly hungry and a Turkish breakfast worth setting a morning aside for. Turkish wines are on the list, the bar makes serious cocktails with daily deals, and there is a signature Turkish Delight gin to finish on.
