Gresham House Inn

The Gresham House Inn is a family-run pub and inn on Commercial Road in Dawlish, a three-minute walk from both the beach and the railway station. It was originally called the Gresham House Inn, went through a spell as the Laffin Pig, and took its original name back when new owners took over in June 2011. It's a proper local pub first - real ales feature alongside the usual drinks, including Devil's Footprint, brewed specially for the pub by Teignmouth Brewery - with hearty pub food served alongside.

Upstairs, the inn has rooms with en suite bathrooms, tea and coffee facilities, flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi, with a cooked breakfast, including a full English, included each morning. It works equally well as a seafront base for a night or two or as a straightforward pub for a pint and a meal, and it's built a solid local reputation for its welcoming, unpretentious atmosphere rather than anything flashy.
