Ice Cream

Food hygiene rating pending

Known in the trade as the "Willy Wonka Girls", the small team churning ice cream in Willand have been at it since 2012, with Amanda Ringelberg as owner and MD. Everything is handmade in batches at their SALSA accredited Devon facility, built on a stubbornly simple philosophy: pure, natural ingredients and no artificial shortcuts. Over 100 taste awards suggest the approach works, as does the chef who called it the only prepared product on his menu.

The Epicurean range runs to more than 200 flavours, sweet and savoury, and evolves constantly with seasonal produce and chef-led ideas. Expect Whortleberry alongside hickory-smoked White Chocolate, Bacon and Maple Syrup, Pumpkin Pie, and sorbets that stretch to Tarragon, Baked Bean and Petit Pois. They also develop bespoke flavours with chefs and NPD teams, so if you cook professionally and have a wild idea, that is the conversation to start.
