Cosy Corner sits at 118 Sidwell Street and serves Cantonese and Malaysian food, with roast duck and pork hanging in the window the way you would expect from an authentic Chinese kitchen. The Singapore noodles have built a reputation as some of the best in Exeter, and the duck noodle soup and braised pork belly show the same care. Bubble tea is on the menu alongside more traditional dishes, and the room is set with proper teapots and tableware rather than the usual takeaway trays.
It is popular with Exeter's Chinese community, which says something about the kitchen that a review score cannot. The dining room does dine-in, takeaway and no-contact delivery, and it is open six days a week, closed Tuesdays. Get there early for the roast meats - once a cut sells out for the day, it is gone.
