Bandook Indian Kitchen

IndianRestaurantAsianStreet Food

Food hygiene rating: 5 out of 5

Bandook started life in Bristol's Wapping Wharf in 2017, and the Bath flagship opened in Milsom Place in November 2019. It comes from the team behind the fine-dining Mint Room restaurants in Bath and Bristol, who built Bandook as their casual, street-food-led sister venture - same kitchen pedigree, looser format.

The menu runs breakfast through dinner with light snacks, small plates and large plates built around Indian street food: Grandma's curry, Punjabi lamb chops, taco dosas, Delhiwale's pocket kebab and a Lucknowi parda lamb biryani among the signatures. An extensive cocktail list runs alongside. The restaurant won Best Restaurant at the 2024 Bath Life Awards, and the Milsom Place setting - a courtyard just off the main shopping streets - makes it an easy stop for a long lunch or a proper dinner.
