Alice Park Cafe

Cafe

Food hygiene rating: 5 out of 5

Alice Park Cafe sits inside Alice Park itself, on the corner of Gloucester Road and the A4, opposite the Bath Rugby Ladies training ground - eight acres of playpark, community garden, wildlife pond and boules piste around it. The cafe calls itself the cafe with soul and leans into that with a FLOG principle behind the menu: fairtrade, local, organic and good for you, with ingredients from local suppliers wherever possible.

Breakfast is the strong suit, from a full English to lighter options, alongside sandwiches, toasties and paninis made fresh to order - phone ahead and they'll have it ready. Younger visitors get their own range, LittleScoffs, with penne pasta, macaroni cheese and a chickless curry, plus Ella's Kitchen pouches and Innocent smoothies. It's fully licensed, open every day except Christmas Day, with hot food served until mid-afternoon and grill food including breakfasts running until 3pm - a genuine park cafe rather than a destination restaurant, but a well-regarded one for it.
