Three Horseshoes

Three hundred years of thatch and stone on Mill Street in Burton Bradstock, a short walk from the coast path and Hive Beach. Owner and head chef Jaap runs the kitchen, taking good produce and giving it his own award winning twist while keeping the cooking simple enough that the ingredients still do the talking. Dogs, children and muddy boots are all accounted for, and there is ample parking, which on this stretch of coast counts for something.

Menus change regularly with the seasons and lean on partnerships with local suppliers. The garden is the draw in decent weather, with a covered gazebo and gas heaters for when it turns, and it works equally well for a glass of wine in the sun or a pint and a bar snack after work. Dogs get fresh water, biscuits and blankets. Book online for up to eight; call for larger groups. The garden is first come, first served.
