The Brass sits on Hollands Road, roughly halfway between Teignmouth's railway station and the bus bays, and doubles as an unofficial waiting room for travellers as well as a proper local. It was renamed and extensively refurbished in 2021, having traded before that as the Half Moon and then the Brass Monkey, and the pub still keeps a real fire going and a strong independent-operator feel rather than a chain-pub polish.
Cask ale is the focus, with Sharp's Doom Bar and the locally brewed Teignmouth Deckhand as the regulars alongside a full range of wines, ciders and spirits. The week runs to bingo, a pub quiz, karaoke and live music on a fortnightly rota, and it is both dog-friendly and family-friendly. Reviewers describe it as clean, bright and welcoming, with staff who know the regulars by name - the kind of pub built around the people who keep coming back rather than passing footfall from the seafront.
