The Blue Anchor

The Blue Anchor is a Grade II listed pub on Teign Street, in Teignmouth's conservation area opposite the entrance to the docks, and it's Teignmouth's premier real ale pub - previously voted South Devon CAMRA Town Pub of the Year. Eight hand pumps run behind the bar, six of them given over to constantly rotating beers.

Ciders come from local producers like Ashbridge and Sandford Orchards, and there's a decent-sized outdoor drinking area at the side and rear for warmer evenings. The pub keeps a proper local feel with a pool table, dartboard and regular live music, and it's dog-friendly with a car park and disabled facilities. It's closed Mondays and open from early afternoon the rest of the week.
