The Beach Bar

CafeBreakfastLoaded Fries

Food hygiene rating: 5 out of 5

The Beach Bar sits on Piermont Place in Dawlish, overlooking the lawn on Dawlish Water where the town's famous black swans gather, with a fountain and crazy golf close by. It works as a cafe-bar covering most of the day, from breakfast through to evening drinks, with burgers as the standout on the food side alongside haddock, lasagne and toasted sandwiches.

Outdoor seating is the main draw when the weather cooperates, giving a ringside view of the swans and the lawn's activity, and it stays sheltered enough for cooler days too. Dogs are welcome both outside and in. On tap there's a solid spread of local ciders alongside standard beers and wines. It's a convenient, easy-going spot right in the middle of Dawlish rather than a food destination, and works well as a stop before or after a walk along the water.
