Cool Beans on the Green

Cool Beans on the Green shares a building with Dawlish's Tourist Information Centre on The Lawn, looking straight out over the green and the seafront beyond, with outdoor seating that makes the most of the view when the weather allows. It's an organic, eco-minded operation - coffee and tea, light breakfasts, sandwiches, paninis and cakes, all with sustainability built into how it sources and serves rather than as an add-on.

The brunch menu goes further than the standard fry-up: avocado smash on sourdough with chia seeds, rocket and tomatoes, poached egg Benedict with hollandaise, roasted cauliflower with a hazelnut spread, and pancakes with seasonal fruit and whipped mascarpone. Yoghurt parfaits with granola and pomegranate cover the lighter end of the menu. Beyond food, the cafe doubles as a bit of a community space, hosting evenings like games nights alongside the usual daytime coffee trade.
