Salcombe Tap House

Salcombe Tap House opened on Sidmouth's Esplanade in May 2026, next door to Rockfish at the Dorset end of the seafront. The building used to be a boat builders' shed, and Salcombe Brewery has fitted it out as a one-room tap house with its own microbrewery running immediately behind the bar - so the beer is being made a few feet from where it's poured, alongside the brewery's core Devon range and rotating cask ales.

It runs as an all-day spot rather than just an evening pub: coffee and breakfast from 9am, alcohol from 11am, and food that moves from breakfast through to freshly baked pizzas and handcrafted cocktails later on. There's a terrace out front for the sea view, and it's largely walk-in, though the brewery asks large groups to call ahead. There's no real cider on the list - it's built around Salcombe's own beers and wines rather than trying to cover every base - and the site includes a step-free, fully accessible toilet.
