Fizz & Feast

Fizz & Feast took over the Old Post Office on Vicarage Road, a listed building in the middle of Sidmouth, and turned it into a lounge bar that shifts personality through the day. Mornings and afternoons it runs as a coffee spot with easy listening music playing low; by evening the lights come down and it becomes a cocktail bar, with the same room doing both jobs comfortably. The owners picked Sidmouth deliberately, for the seaside pace as much as the passing trade.

The drinks list runs from coffee and wine through to beer and handcrafted cocktails, from light spritzes to heavier, spirit-forward ones. Food leans toward sharing rather than plated mains - charcuterie and cheese boards, jacket potatoes with baked beans and cheddar, crispy chicken strips with sweet chilli dip - and the boards can be pre-ordered for takeaway. Fizz & Feast also hosts karaoke and live band nights through the week, with a ticketed do on New Year's Eve. It's shut on Tuesdays, open from 9.30am other weekdays and from 9am on Saturday.
