Reflections Bistro

BistroBreakfast

Food hygiene rating: 5 out of 5

Reflections Bistro sits on the Strand among Dawlish's seaside shops and cafes, a simple black-signed frontage opening onto large windows and a warm interior with soft lighting and booth seating rather than café-style tables. It runs the full span of the day, from a full English or lighter breakfast through to dinner, with Devon cream teas - scones and clotted cream - served through the afternoon in between.

Lunch runs from gammon, egg and chips to seafood platters, sandwiches and paninis, and the evening menu widens out further still, mixing fish specials with Greek and Mediterranean dishes, steaks and grills, plus a proper Sunday roast at the weekend. Open 9am to 9pm, it covers more ground in one place than most bistros its size attempt, and staff are consistently singled out as cheerful and efficient even on busy days. It works as a breakfast stop, a lunch spot, or a full evening meal out without needing to switch venues.
