Molloys

Molloys sits on Teign Street in the middle of Teignmouth, in a building that used to be a Bass-owned pub called The Kangaroo - the old sign is still visible around the back if you go looking for it. It's now on Bays beers, the Devon brewery, and the inside is broken up into separate areas with a woody feel, old barrels doing duty as tables rather than conventional furniture.

Outside there's a good pedestrianised drinking area at the front, and inside three TVs plus a projector make it the natural spot for watching sport in town. A £2 loyalty card gets regulars 10% off, and the beer selection is well regarded and reasonably priced alongside food that gets consistently good reviews. It's dog-friendly and open long hours seven days a week, which keeps it busy with both locals and visitors passing through the town centre.
