Set up in November 2020 on the edge of Exmoor, with the first brews running in April 2021, this is a nano-brewery in the truest sense: small batches, north-east Devon, no great fanfare. The awards have come quickly for an operation of this size. SIBA named it Speciality IPA Regional Category Champion and a national finalist, which is the sort of recognition that tends to follow people who are fussy about what goes in the bottle.
Everything is bottle conditioned and vegan friendly, which means the beer carries on quietly developing after it leaves Tiverton. Panther took Best New Drink Product 2024-25 at the Food Drink Devon Awards, and both Panther and Hit for Six reached platinum status there. The brewery also runs visits and beer tastings, and posts about its environmental work. Book onto a tasting if you want the range explained by the people who made it.
