Tea in Britain is mostly a habit rather than a subject, which is roughly the gap Carslake Tea Company set out to fill from their base at Stogumber. Working with blenders and tea brokers across the UK and Europe, they have built a range that runs well past the usual suspects, sourced from India, China, Japan and Sri Lanka, and collected 18 Taste of the West Gold awards along the way.

The list runs to over 80 blends of whole and loose leaf tea and infusions: breakfast, Assam, Lapsang Souchong, Oolong and Darjeeling alongside Gunpowder green, Yunnan and Pu-erh, plus herbal and fruit tisanes and quirkier things like Organic Mojito Green, Pina Colada, Gen Mai Cha and Chocolate Chilli.
