Bumblebee Cottage

Named after the actual house it comes from, this small chilli sauce operation started up in 2023 at a cottage in Delabole, North Cornwall. The chillies are grown on site and picked by hand, which is a rarer claim than the shelves of hot sauce in this country would suggest. Everything else follows from that: small batches, Cornish and Dorset chillies, and a naming habit that leans hard on the village name.

The range runs from gentle warmth to a lively bite, and covers more ground than most chilli sauce makers attempt. Delziki is a Greek style sauce, Delhi Bole an Indian one, Delab 'Ole a pil pil, and Hall of Flame a whisky BBQ sauce. Fiyah in D'Bole is the hot one. There are jams and preserves too. If you cannot choose, the four-bottle Delabole combo box or the Lucky Dip mystery jar settles it for you.
