Banbury's Turkeys

Meat

Food hygiene rating pending

Half a dozen birds raised for family and friends, more than fifty years ago, is where this started. It has grown into a Christmas operation at Trembleathe Barton, on the land between Wadebridge and Padstow, but the thinking has not really changed: fewer birds, more time. The free range Bronze turkeys are slow-grown over six months, dry plucked and hung, and both the Bronze and the barn-reared White carry Taste of the West Gold for 2025.

Christmas is the main event, with free range Bronze turkeys, barn fresh White turkeys, farm-reared geese and slow-grown farm chickens, plus finishing touches such as mulled wine. There are cooking guides and recipes on the website if the bird is bigger than you are used to. Order ahead for delivery direct from the farm, fresh, anywhere on mainland UK, or arrange to collect from Trembleathe Barton at Padstow yourself.
