Brace of Butchers

Poundbury has had a butcher and deli worth the walk since October 2014, and the reputation has spread well beyond Dorchester. National recognition has followed, largely for two things: backing the local high street, and the Naked Brace range, which does away with packaging altogether. Local produce, handcrafted products and staff who know what they are doing are the stated priorities here, and the customers seem to agree.

The counter covers butchery and deli, with an online product page listing customer favourites rather than the full shop, prices omitted where markets move. Local home delivery runs on Wednesdays and Fridays, with nationwide next day shipping by courier. There is also a telephone ordering service: they build the order, work out the price, then call back to take card payment securely. At Christmas the shop phone gets hammered, so use the call back request instead.
